HELYS guarantees the confidentiality of all personal data you provide us.
We guarantee your sample remains anonymous
First, the entire DNA profiling process is performed in our own laboratory. The samples you send back never leave our company and are not entrusted to an outside laboratory. Our laboratory staff works with a single digital code for each sample. This code is used throughout the process, from the sample kit to the finished work of art. Throughout the process, our laboratory personnel never know the identity behind a DNA sample.
No trace of your sample is saved
At the end of the process, your DNA is definitively destroyed by heating it at high pressure to 120° C.
The image of your DNA profil is destroyed
The file containing the image of your DNA profile is deleted three months after you receive your picture.
Secure payment
When you pay by credit card, the transaction takes place between you and our banking partner (Crédit Agricole). Your data is encrypted and secure transfer is guaranteed by the Crédit Agricole. Encryption is performed using SSL –Secure Socket Layer –protocol, which is recognised for its reliability in Internet transactions and used for online purchases around the world.
Your credit card data (number, expiration date, verification code) will only be transmitted to the Crédit Agricole server. HELYS never has access to this data at any time.
Good to know: When you provide your banking data via the Internet, you can check you are using a secure site. The address displayed in the search bar of your browser (1) should start with https: //. The “s" stands for “Secure”. A padlock logo (2) displayed in your browser's status bar also indicates that your data will be protected.
Protection of personal information
In compliance with French law of 6th January 1978 on Data Processing, Data Files and Individual Liberties, you have the right to consult, modify, correct or delete your personal data. You can exercise this right by simply sending a letter to the following address:
